The science sector comprises of three Departments:

Several specialized laboratories are associated with the departments – laboratories of biotechnology, biochemistry, plant pathology of cereals, legumes and sunflower, plant physiology, technological properties of grain and bread, agrochemistry, physical properties of soil and plant genetic resources.

In the Science Sector, research work is being carried out in the following directions:

  •    developing of new improved cereals and leguminous crops, varieties and sunflower hybrids;
  •    developing of new biotechnology methods for breeding;
  •  developing, storage and study of plant genetic resources;
  •   developing of modern technologies for growing of sunflower, cereals and leguminous crops.

The Science Sector has a large Scientific library.
